Pocket Directory, an iPhone app for searching local stores and facilities
In 2010, when the environment for searching local stores and facilities from smartphones was not yet established, we developed an iPhone app that could be used like the Yellow Pages. It quickly gained many users right after its release.

背景
At that time in 2010, the iPhone was provided by SoftBank in Japan, and smartphone services were just starting to emerge. However, there were still no iPhone apps for searching stores and facilities equivalent to the Yellow Pages, and options for finding necessary phone numbers while out were limited.
Therefore, to enhance the convenience for iPhone users, we were consulted to develop an app that allows easy searching for local stores and facilities.

進め方
Considering the screen size and communication environment of the iPhone at that time, we aimed to avoid excessive input fields and designed a structure that allows users to reach necessary information with minimal operations. We organized store and facility information by category and released the app as one that can complete the process from search to phone call on a smartphone.

- Released on November 21, 2010
- Ranked 1st in the free navigation category within 4 days of release
- Achieved 7th place in the overall ranking during the same period
- Provided a new user experience for searching local information from smartphones
